What is FORUM?

What is FORUM?

FORUM is a new publication at the University of Oklahoma run by students for students and targeted specifically at issues relevant to students.

Our motto, “Your Voice. Your Concerns. Your Contributions,” reflects our focus to create a unique space for students to express themselves in a new way.

Our goal is to bring new voices across campus together to inform, inspire, and encourage. All our work is contributed by students and faculty and we’re working with faculty, staff, and other students in a wide variety of disciplines and departments.

Each issue will present stories, reports, and artwork related to a specific theme. For our first issue in March, we’ve chosen human trafficking as our topic. For April’s edition, we’ll focus on OU’s new Department of Native American Studies.

How is FORUM different?

Like other campus newsmagazines (the Georgetown Voice and the Harvard Independent), Forum will be a new alternative to traditional news publications. We’ll be responding to current issues and topics important to the OU community, which will expand upon and complement other breaking news sources.

Those of us here at FORUM look forward to your involvement and contribution. Tell us what you’re interested in hearing about and let us hear what you have to say on our current and upcoming issues here.

Make sure to subscribe so you get our first issue March 1.
