Today, religious pluralism is widely regarded as an expression of peace and tolerance – a notion reflected especially in a video that has recently been shared millions of times. But what if the assumption that it does not matter which religion you follow is neither theologically nor rationally sound?

This white paper examines religious pluralism from an Islamic perspective, analyzes its philosophical foundations, and demonstrates why an exclusive claim to truth – whether in Islam or in any other religion – is neither arrogant nor intolerant. At the same time, it highlights how seemingly harmless pluralistic concepts are increasingly being politically instrumentalized. Its aim is to empower young Muslims to understand their beliefs more deeply and to articulate them confidently, thoughtfully, and without shame.
